Mercedes-Benz
Passenger Cars division seeks to be the best in the industry in
terms of brand image, customer retention and profitability, and thereby
to ensure shareholder, customer and brand value. To achieve this, there
is a specific focus on shifting the Mercedes-Benz brands to a younger,
more progressive and exciting profile.
The
Mercedes-Benz passenger car range includes the C-class, E-class, A-class,
S-class, CLK, CL, SLK, SL, Estate and M-class.

Chrysler
Corporation took the decision to re-invest in South Africa in 1996 and
has since introduced the Chrysler Neon and Voyager brands to the South
African market. The Jeep Grand Cherokee, Cherokee and Wrangler brands
have also been launched locally. South Africa was very receptive to
- and first to embrace - the DaimlerChrysler merger, which saw Chrysler's
dealer network grow from 8 to 25 during 1999. The merger has also delivered
improved service and parts availability. Recent product introductions
include the PT Cruiser; a vehicle intended to turn heads.

Mitsubishi
Motors is working hard at consolidating the Mitsubishi brand in
South Africa, and seeks to remain a forerunner in terms of engineering.
The range of vehicles includes pick-up trucks and luxury saloons with
Mitsubishi intending to offer the best pick-up available on the South
African market. Most popular in South Africa are the Colt and Pajero
ranges, both of them Africa-tested, all-terrain vehicles. Excelling
in the field of motorsport, Mitsubishi also wishes to continue its racing
legacy - a passion that has evolved over many years.
